Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement robust reporting procedures and protocols to effectively capture and communicate project performance metrics, including schedule variance, cost variance, earned value analysis, and other key indicators
Responsible for overseeing the project control functions, which include scheduling, cost estimation, budgeting, and risk management
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data, validate accuracy, and ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements
Design and develop interactive dashboards using Power BI to visualize project data and KPIs, providing stakeholders with real-time insights into project performance
Monitor and control project progress, cost, and schedule. Prepare detailed reports for project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and performance against the baseline schedule
Identify opportunities for improving project control processes and systems. Implement best practices and innovations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project controls
Analyze project data and trends to identify areas of concern, deviations from plans, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making and problem-solving
Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure alignment between project controls reporting and financial reporting processes, facilitating accurate and transparent reporting of project financials and cost controls
Provide guidance and support to Construction Project Managers on project control aspects. Ensure that project teams are equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to manage project controls effectively
Identify and assess potential risks to project success. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of risks on project outcomes
Oversee the development of accurate cost estimates and project budgets
Monitor project expenditures and ensure that the project stays within budgetary constraints

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in project controls or construction management, with a focus on scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management
Fluency in English is required
Proven expertise in developing and implementing reporting procedures and protocols, with a track record of success in delivering accurate and insightful reports to stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights to drive informed decision-making
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
Proficiency in project management software tools, including Power BI for dashboarding and Primavera P6 for project scheduling and tracking
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change management
Professional certification in project management (PMP), project controls (PSP), or related field is highly desirable
